Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), also known as L-ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin. Vitamin C in food is absorbed by the upper part of the human small intestine. Once absorbed, it is distributed to all water-soluble structures in the body. In normal adults, there is about 1500 mg of vitamin C in the vitamin C metabolic activity pool, and the highest storage peak is 3000 mg of vitamin C. Under normal circumstances, most of the vitamin C is metabolized into oxalic acid in the body or combined with sulfuric acid to form ascorbic acid-2-sulfuric acid, which is discharged from the urine; the other part can be directly excreted from the urine.
Magnesium citrate, also known as citric acid or magnesium salt, is composed of magnesium carbonate and citric acid. This is a medicinal chemical with a magnesium content of up to 11%. For this reason, it is often used as a health supplement. Because magnesium is easily absorbed by the body, it is an important source of magnesium nutrition.
